As in previous years, the Foundation for Amateur Radio is administering the award of dozens of full-time educational scholarships. All the scholarships are sponsored by amateur radio organizations and individuals across the United States. In 2012, FAR is administering 50 scholarships worth $69,800 in total (see the 2012-2013 FAR scholarships for the amounts and eligibility criteria of each award). Awards range in value from $250 to $5000. Applicants fill out a single application to be considered for all the awards for which they are eligible.
Applications are due by April 15, 2012. For submissions sent by mail, the postmark on the envelope must be April 15, or earlier. Applications not meeting these criteria will not be considered.
Recommendations for the Chichester, 10 -10, QCWA, and OOTC scholarships must be received, or postmarked, no later than May 15, 2012.
